Episode 10 - 1886 in England (Not So) Great Scott!

Following the disputes with the previous touring side, the Melbourne Cricket Club takes charge of the 1886 tour. They put the tour in the hands of a young captain who has to bring together an experienced, but jaded side for another crack at the old enemy on their home turf. 

Episode 9 - 1884/85 vs England Four Captains and a Financial Dispute

The actions of the 1884 Australians come back to bite them as disputes over money see 25 men play test cricket for Australia this summer, whilst a giant player finally lives up to his potential. 

Episode 8 - 1884 in England Diminishing Returns

Following Ivo Bligh's successful heist of the Ashes, an experienced Australian side return once again to England with their eyes focused more on making money than recovering the Urn. 

Episode 7 - 1882/83 vs England Ivo Bligh and the Holy Grail

Following the incredible events of 1882, a future Lord vows to redeem the honour of England cricket and reclaim the Ashes. 

Episode 6 -1882 Demon Days

The Australians return to England and achieve spectacular results, but doubt remains as to whether they can stand up to the best of England at home. Through the efforts of their Demon Bowler, they are able to show they are more than a match for their English counterparts.

Episode 5 - 1881/82 Percy’s Promise

New and Familiar faces join in another tour of Australia that sees four test matches played and the arrival of a young Victorian batsman of great promise

Episode 4 - 1880 A Sovereigns for a Run

The third Australian touring side of 1880 sees the First Test Match played in England and the arrival of the next Australian batting star Billy Murdoch. 

Episode 3 - 1878/79 Demons and Riots

An Australian side ventures to England, winning many admirers. The English return for another tour which includes the third test match and a riot that threatens relations between the two cricketing nations. 

Episode 2 - 1876/77 The Birth of Test Cricket

We journey to the year 1877 as the first ever combined match between All English and All Australian sides takes place. We examine the thrills of the first test matches and go in depth on the first great test hero, Charles Bannerman.
